Fully Integrated (T0, T1 and T2 units) hydraulic system, no external hoses, reservoirs etc.
Always remember to use the fully laden displacement of your boat when selecting a pilot. Typically a yacht fully provisioned with the water and fuel tanks full can be as much as 20% above the designed displacement. Therefore if your boat falls between two pilot types, please choose the larger pilot type – an under rated pilot may not be able to perform adequately when you need it most. If in doubt, please check with us before purchase. If you are using a Ram, Rotary drive or existing drive unit from another manufacturer, these will, in most cases, be compatible with B&G units. B&G Autopilot Drive T0 is easy to install requiring only electrical and mechanical connection. This is because the hydraulic pump and reservoir are integral to the unit. So there are no hoses etc, like many split systems. The drive unit pivots in all 4 axis on its mount, but be sure to mount it securely as it can exert significant loads on the base. Electrical connection is simply 2 wires to the autopilot computer. The polarity of these wires is reversed by the AP computer to allow both directions of travel.
